Can't install from boot usb stick

Hi

I just got a Macbook Pro Mid 2012, from a friend. There was't any MacOS installed on it.

I made an bootable USB Stick with 10.13.6. I tried 2 ways. The first one was made with Diskmaker. It didn't work. The second was made Disk utilities and It didn't work either.

I am running Mojave on an other Mac. I made the to sticks on this one.

Can anyone help me.

Hi again.

The problem is fixed. The macOS installer was to old, I got a newer one from Mac App Store.

I used Install Disk Creator. It made a bootable usb stick drive.

In what way didn't it work? Did it boot, but was unable to complete the install? Or couldn't the USB drive boot?

If the drive would not boot, then try using another brand of USB stick since Macs can be very picky about the USB boot drive and the quality of USB sticks is very poor.

If the installer booted, then at what stage did it stop working? Any specific error messages?
