Apple Arcade games stop other audio (music\podcast)

I've started playing more Apple Arcade games but I'm super frustrated with this problem. Of the 10+ Arcade games I've downloaded, 100% of them suspend the music\podcast that I'm listening to. Once the game has loaded, I've tried swiping up or using my Airpods\Watch to start playing the audio I was listening to and the game immediately stops that audio. I feel that I should be able to listen how I want, and I usually prefer to podcast while playing. Any recommendations or others experiencing this issue? Thanks.
