Hi raoken,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that when your save a file in Preview you don't see it in Finder, but you're able to open it or access it from Acrobat Reader or Mail. I can see why you'd reach out about this; I'd like to help. I'd suggest using the following steps to locate the folder these files are being stored in:

  • Open a PDF in Preview, then use File > Save...
  • Once the Save File dialog opens, navigate to the folder in which you typically save PDFs, and then use Command + I on your keyboard.
  • After you've selected the item use "Command + I" on your keyboard to open "Get Info" in Finder and view the path to the folder where these files are stored.

If you continue to have trouble, can you let me know how you're searching in Finder for these documents? Are you saving these documents to a specific folder when saving them in Preview?

Best Regards.
