I am upgrading from an iPhone 6SPlus to a 11 Pro Max. I understand the 11 has face recognition instead of Touch ID to log in. How will this work for all the apps I have which are touch ID enabled?

Generally, if you could use Touch ID, they support Face ID too. It's only a matter of configuration.
