Samsung UE590 resolution issue

I bought Samsung U28E590 4k which is a 28 inch with 3840-by-2160 resolution. When connected this display with Macbook Pro, the screen is blurry and is not sitting with the correct resolution.

My first question: Is this 28 inch the right monitor for the mac?

Is there any possibility to get the resolution right? Display is currently with 1920-by-1080 resolution. I am not able to scale it.

Please help me with your suggestions!

Hi deepak643,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like there is trouble with changing the resolution when using an external display with the MacBook Pro.

"Set the resolution for a connected display

If you have more than one display, additional resolution options are available after the display is connected.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display.
  2. Press and hold the Option key while you click Scaled to see additional resolutions for the second display.
  3. Select a scaled resolution option for the second display."

Change your Mac display’s resolution

Please don't hesitate to let us know if the steps resolved your issue or if you need additional assistance.

Cheers.
