During configuration of new-to-me Iphone8, I forgot my passcode. I went through the recommended process of putting the phone into recovery mode, connecting to Itunes and downloading an update to the ios.
Now the phone is stuck in a screen "attempting data discovery." I then get the message that "data recovery failed" and the phone locks. How do I get out of this screen/loop and get my new phone running? TIA
