How do I delete a mailbox on my new generation 7 ipad?

settings - accounts and password - accounts - click on said account - then delete.

When I follow your instructions I do not see a list of my mailboxes (inbox, drafts, trash,etc.). Only shows me ‘iCloud’...when I open that I do not get a listing of my mailboxes. Still dont understand how to delete a mailbox that I created.
