New Macbook Pro - Service battery warning 2 days after use!

Hi everyone,

So I just bought a new MacBook Pro via Harvey Norman (Dublin). I picked it up from the store on Sunday, I began using it Sunday evening, a little on Monday evening and this evening (Tuesday). About twice now the laptop has just shut down when it appeared at 38-40% battery. After plugging it in to turn it back on again it was suddenly at 0% and then I noticed today the 'Service Battery' warning appeared!

Considering this laptop is brand new, and only 2 days used - I am baffled.

Other than go to the Apple store (CompuB), any other advice??

Thanks!

Be sure you have charged your new MacBook Pro completely. This requires it to be connected to the power adapter for Many Hours beyond the point where it says 100 percent charged. Best results are obtained from leaving it connected overnight while powered off. It will NEVER over-charge.

In the morning, use the procedures in this article to reset the System Management controller. Be sure to use the keys in the EXACT locations specified -- the keys on the other side of the keyboard with the same labels are not "wired in" and will not do the job:
