Turn off autoplay

Has apple come up with a solution to the annoying feature of whatever you were listening to last on your iphone, starts playing automatically when I turn on my (2015 basic bluetooth features) car. Yes I have done the work arounds of turning off-cellular data access, but I also have downloaded music and audible books that still play automatically. Yes you can stop or pause them but as soon as you answer a phone call it starts up again. This should be a feature you can turn on or off from the phone and not dependent on the cars bluetooth system. I am ready for a new phone and am seriously thinking of going for a droid!

It is the car audio that is triggering Auto Play. Set it correctly on your Car Audio device.

I have two cars one with Sony DSX A410BT and the second one with Sony MEX BT3153U

My iPhone 6 iOS 12.2 when connects to this audio system

As soon as the ignition is put ON in the car with the audio system, Sony DSX A410BT connects automatically to Bluetooth and then automatically opens iTunes and automatically starts to play from where it last left off.

All Automatic: Bluetooth connection, Opening iTunes, Song selection, Play

But, But - Same iPhone

As soon as the ignition is put ON in the car with the audio system, Sony MEX BT3153U does nothing automatically

Manual Connection: Connect Manually to Bluetooth, Manually Open iTunes, Manually Select Songs, Manually Play

Thanks, but the Toyota truck is a 2015 and Auto Play is not an option that I can control. Because of all the different features on the various car Bluetooth features, I feel that the phones should have this option. All the Droid phones that I have tested, the blue tooth connects automatically but nothing starts playing automatically, not so with any IPhone that I tested.

It is so bad that when I go out to warm up the truck, my phone is inside the house and it starts playing what ever I was listening to last. I don't even have the apps open (Audible, Music etc) and it still starts playing automatically.
