Why does the smart charging case say “Generic UPS” while charging?
Does anyone know why the smart charging case says “Generic UPS” while charging? Why generic when it’s an Apple case?

Looks like a slight bug or firmware error, but the device logo to the left is clearly the Smart Case itself, so it looks to me like the phone does recognize it as Apple original. Apple own show Apple-specific device logos for their own goods.
If you have AirPods, you may have seen something similar where the name is still correct, but the logo is incorrect or vice versa, temporarily. Of course, Bluetooth devices are a lot more complex so it’s not a perfect analogy, but it illustrates how these bugs may occur.
I personally wouldn’t sweat it! It may get fixed with a software update, it may fix itself for no apparent reason, or may never show smart case. I don’t think there is any clear evidence the device won’t function for its expected lifespan just for this.
cheers!

Hello,
It seems that your AirPods are not connected. See this:
Good luck.
I don’t have air pods. I’m talking about the new Apple charging case.
I am considering a charging case. Do you buy that from Apple official?
Yes I did.
