Apple arcade games won't open on my MBP

Apple arcade works on any other device but if y try to launch any game on my macbook pro 2014 the icon just jumps once in the doc and then it quits. (some games also blink whole screen). I have tryied logging out of my apple id and then logging back in — didn't help. Any idea what it might be?

Applications won't open after update I just updated my MacBook to Catalina earlier today. I was playing Sims on the computer yesterday, but the application won't load after the update. Just wondering what needs to be done to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling the app. My other games are still loading correctly. When I click on the icon nothing happens, and won't launch.

Big fish games trouble I have a mac book pro, with Mojave. I have not upgraded this as I will lose several hundreds of dollars in games. Is there any help for the 32 bit games? also when I try to close a BFG it closes then immediately reopens. I have to force close up in the apple. What is causing this? Hope all my apple people can help. Not getting much help from BFG. Thanks in advance

Games from arcade start up and immediately quit Games downloaded from arcade start up, the icon bounces for a few seconds, and then nothing happens. When I try offline it prompts me to connect to the app store, and when I do it bounces for another second before not starting up further. It seems that while the app is connecting to the app store to verify my account it is somehow shut down. I made another user account with admin rights, the games start up without a problem there. However, I want to keep my current user account and preferences. I have tried resetting all the user permissions through terminal, signing in and out everywhere, changing passwords. I even made a new user (admin) and imported the home folder. It appears that it also imported whatever files are corrupted, because in this new user profile the problem came right back. a sudo command to remove an info file also has not worked. I think somehow arcade is blocking my macos user account even though my apple id is fully legit. would love to be able to simply use arcade on my new laptop, any help to pinpoint the corrupted process would be nice.

Hi fedor115,

It sounds like you're having trouble with launching games on your Mac, and I want to help.

Is this happening in every game or only with a specific game?

Have you tried to remove the download and start it again?

Try starting to safe mode to see if you're able to open the applications giving you trouble:

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

Try running the following command in Terminal when logged in with admin rights:

sudo rm "/var/db/fpsd/SC Info/SC Info.sido"
