how do I TOTALLY Uninstall Nikon View NXi 1.4 from my iMACs hard drive?

how do I TOTALLY Uninstall Nikon View NXi 1.4 from my iMACs hard drive? I've done a standard uninstall but apparently these are items still on the hard drive which are preventing a reinstall of this, my favourite image sorter!

Thank you rkaufmann87 for your answer. Sadly I had done as you suggested many, many times. to no avail. apparently Mac's retain some bits and bobs even after all my tries at uninstalling it. what happened is NX-i "crashed" and failed to respond. in the end I had to 'force quit it'. I uninstalled it and then when I reinstall and then clicked to open it, it it just appeared on the top of my screen but showed the continuous circle and did not respond, forcing me to force quit again. I have since done my best to purge the cache's but nothing seems to work. I'm well past my sell-by-date and have had the pleaser of working with the Various NX programmes to enable me to open my extensive images. I'd very much appreciate any help anyone can suggest. Many thanks.

Thanks for clarifying. Are you running Catalina?

I think it's time to contact Nikon. You followed their instructions on there support page so the next step is theirs. Their sysreqs do not go higher than Mojave but that may not be the issue as tech articles don't always get updated very fast.

One thing to avoid: when I search for uninstall instructions any more, the search engines throw up a LOT of "free" apps that are supposed to uninstall everything from apps to your brother-in-law camped out in your spare bedroom. AVOID! I see these as clickbait to load you up with stuff you do not want on a Mac.

Hi Allan, thanks for your reply. I don't know what Catalina is I'm afraid.

I did contacted Nikon in the first instance but after quite a lengthy period on the phone their guy more or lass said it was a Mac problem and hence my approach this site.

You're right about the 'free apps'. I have tried that too but my Norton blocked their site, not sure if that saved me from more problems or stopped me sorting this one. What damage can they do Allan? I'm thinking of temporally uninstalling Norton. Any thoughts will be welcome. Thanks again.
