Apple Mail signature not working for just 1 mail address

hello,

I have several email addresses and wanted to change the signatures since PCist tell me that they see attachments. Well after deleting an old signature and creating new ones, I can send the new and old ones from any of my email addresses except from my main one. I've looked at the things that could be different for this email address but cannot find it. When I had one or more signature to this email account, I can select which one should appear in preferences but when I try to compose a new message, it opens a blank one with only the none button for signature. The only option is to edit signatures but no matter what, it doesn't show the changed. I've deleted and reimported the .plists, deleted and reinstated the account, activated and deactivated iCloud drive... I just haven't found a solution, so far.

On my other older macbook pro, where I have the same email with a pop account, there ist no such problem. Any ideas? I would really appreciate some help.

From All Signatures you have to manually drag & drop the sig to the account(s) you want to use it.

In this example I have 5 sig in total. 4 of this I have dragged to the dominate account.

from a new mail drop down menu— 4 signatures show up.

I have several other emails, some on the same server, one gmail, and one that is hosted on a server for an organisation I volunteer in.

None of those emails, have that problem ; the signatures work fine with those.

I am unsure what you are saying here— locally you add a sig (with an image??) and it arrives as an attachment compared to being visible to the recipient?

"except from my main one." Is this an @iCloud account ?

I can say you have much more control over HTML signature. The best tut on this subject:

Thank you so much for your response. I understand the procedure and I've performed it multiple times. I drag the signature or signatures to this particular email, and chose the one that is supposed to be by default, but to no avail. When I go to compose it, it only shows none and offers the alternative "edit signatures". I have several other emails, some on the same server, one gmail, and one that is hosted on a server for an organisation I volunteer in. None of those emails, have that problem ; the signatures work fine with those.

I need specific troubleshooting advice... if someone could help.
