Update "Mail"

Guys & Girls,

I'm not upgrading to Catalina because I have too many 32 bit applications that I don't want to do without. But I do like the feature in the new Mail application that sends a spam or junk eMail to the trash if you select the option. Can I just upgrade to the new mail without upgrading to Catalina? I'm working with Mac OS 10.14.6 on the latest March 2019 iMac.
