OutLook 2019 connection to server failed or dropped.
Hi guys
I'm really hoping someone could assist with the following problem that has crept into my Outlook.
I am running Mac Outlook 2019 on OS Catalina 10.15.1. Currently running 16.31 version of Outlook.
In the last 2 days I constantly cannot receive or send e-mails. I tried everything from reconfiguring ports, downgrading back to version 16.30 of outlook etc. It is a POP account.
I even tried re-building the office database but still nothing.
The IT guy has also checked and exhausted all options he's familiar with to try & resolve the problem, but still nothing.
As a last resort, I created a guest account and logged in & out in quick succession.
By some miracle when I opened Outlook again, it started downloading about 300mb of e-mails.
Unfortunately as I shutdown and started up again this morning, same issue again, tried the guest user thing and again it started to download new mails but then same error started again.
My internet connection is fine.
I have pasted a pic of the error I'm getting.Can anyone suggest something please?
I also have tried setting up the mail account on APPLE mail but also no success even in setting it up.
PS** Mail for the same e-mail account works 100% on my iPhone
