Buying a Second hand iPhone X

I currently have a iPhone 8 Plus I want to have a slightly smaller phone than the 8 plus so was thinking iPhone X but the phone I am looking into buying has a cracked screen Iv been told that Face ID works and everything works as it should I shall post a pic of the phone I’m looking to buy I just want to know what I should do

I went to the Apple Store about this issue, and then they said I need to buy a whole new iPhone. Funny because the iPhone 13 had just come out. It’s a FaceID MODULE but they need to replace the whole phone? What is a good third party I could use to fix this problem?

iPhone X cracked screen I have an iPhone with a cracked screen, I brought it second hand from someone and they said it had a screen replacement by Apple and it works fine when in fact it wasn’t repaired by Apple and the Face ID doesn’t work, if I send my phone to Apple will they be able to fix it back to its original state? With Face ID working?

Why would you want to buy a damaged phone? Look elsewhere.

I would not want a phone with a screen that bad no matter how it looks turned on. Eventually the screen will fail.

Thank you iv heard iPhone 8 Plus is the same as iPhone X apart from Face ID and no home button?
