When syncing to my computer my new itouch only syncs purchased music and not my entire catalog of music like my old itouch. How do I sync all of the music like my old itouch?

Are you certain these songs still physically exist on your computer? They may still be displaying in iTunes but the file may have bene deleted. I suggest that you go through each song > Right click > Show in Explorer/Finder.

Where did you obtain the songs you did not purchase from the iTunes Store? Do you receive an error message when you try to synchronize your "iPod touch"?
Yes I have compared the computer next to the new itouch. The computer still has all of the music that I've collected, in the itunes icon. The new itouch on has content that I have purchased through the years.
The music is from CD's that I downloaded onto my computer and there was no error message
