Art program and stylus Ipad2 9.3.5
I just acquired an Ipad2 a1936 for my daughter to use for digital art until she can purchase a new model. Is the Adonit Mark stylus compatible with any painting apps for this old IPad? Thank you for you help!

Most Definitely!
The Adonit Mark, Mini 4 and Pro 4 stylii are all standard, capacitive stylii.
You will need a drawing glove to use any capacitive stylus.
There are NO smart, Bluetooth stylii that work with an iPad 2 because the iPad 2 Bluetooth spec is too old and outdated for the use of any smart Bluetooth stylii.
How old is your daughter.
For more accurate drawing, I would use a disc-tipped capacitive stylus, instead.
These a much finer tip for finer drawing.
Look at these basic stylii from Adonit.
She is 22 and disabled. I have read your posts on how to download older versions of programs on a newer Ipad (I have a new one) and then opening the program on the older IPad to download the older version. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us! My daughter is advanced in graphic design and has been using a Wacom tablet with her laptop but she wants to be more portable. Im hesitant to purchase a good art program only to find out that it isn’t compatible with either the stylus or IPad.
Some more art apps for iOS 9.
Watercolor Pencils by Raysoft
Interactive Sketchbook by Digital Wave ( this is a purely pencil-like drawing sketchbook app for just pencil-like sketching/drawing ) I love this app for its minimalist approach to simple sketching and drawing.
I forgot to mention, with iPads that are too old to use a smart Bluetooth stylus, If your daughter uses a normal, commonplace capacitive stylus on an iPad, to be able to lay your hand palm on the screen while you write or draw, you will need to purchase a special, non-body electrical conducting, lycra® material-based drawing glove to block the electrical impulses from your hand and fingers while using a capacitive stylus.

Hello,
You will find that most software is not compatible with iPad 2.
Thank you so much for your time! I’m going to look through them now.
Would she need the glove if I get her the Adonit Pro 4?
Just ordered everything online. You were a HUGE help! Thank you so much.
You are very welcome!
I hope your daughter enjoys all of her gifts!
Have a Great Holiday!
