iphone 11 Sound and Haptics sets to full blast on it's own.

I have gone into Settings, clicked on Sounds & Haptics, adjusted my Ringer and Alerts volume, clicked on the Change with Buttons button to grey it out (the volume of the ringer and alerts will not be affected by the volume buttons), and from time to time my phone will blast my ring or alerts. The Change with Buttons button changes on it's own to green (the volume of the ringer and alerts can be adjusted using the volume buttons), and the volume automatically sets itself to full blast. When working in an office, this is very annoying. Anybody have any solutions?

Good afternoon Cowboy_11,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand the preferences you set for Ringer and Alerts volume are not being kept on your iPhone 11. If you have not done so already, please update your iPhone 11 to the most recent version of iOS, which is currently iOS 13.2.3. Restart your iPhone to refresh it after making these changes.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you enable Attention Aware settings on your iPhone, then the volume will automatically be reduced when you look at your screen.

About Attention Aware features on your iPhone X or iPad Pro

"Turn Attention Aware features on or off

Even if you don’t enroll in Face ID, the TrueDepth camera on iPhone X or later, or iPad Pro 11-inch or iPad Pro 12.9-inch intelligently activates to support attention aware features. For example,

When you’re looking at your device, your display will not dim until you stop looking at your device.

If you're looking at your device, it will lower the volume sound of your alerts.

To adjust these features, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and turn Attention Aware Features on or off"

Take care.
