I must have done something to cause this but the sidebar no longer appears when I open a Finder window. Unfortunately, the option to Show Sidebar is greyed out. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix?

It was already enabled. I did find an earlier solution of deleting a preferences file for Finder then rebooting. That seemed to do the trick.

Try "Show Toolbar" from the View menu.
The Toolbar must be visible for the Sidebar to exist.
