Cannot run Apple Hardware Test, MBPr, High Sierra 10.13.6
My MBPr has been acting a bit funky lately. Sometimes Finder windows will leave the topmost item out of reach unless the window is expanded. It could not put some simple screenshots in the trash. Other oddities. I ran Safe Boot, and First Aid from Disk Utility, SMART status was verified.
While on wifi, I tried to run Apple Hardware Test with a restart while pressing D and it would not load. Result:
Starting Internet Recovery
This may take a while
Choose Network and enter password
Error: 0x8000000000000003, Cannot load 'EFI/Driver/TestSupport.efi'
Status: 0x00000003
Ethernet cable connected. Tried again, same result.
Tried again using option-D during restart, same result.
There is no .diagnostics folder in System/Library/CoreServices, so after determining the model and board ID,
MacBookPro10,1 Mac-C3EC7CD22292981F
I downloaded the appropriate one here:
https://github.com/upekkha/AppleHardwareTest
Command-Shift-Dot reveals the .diagnostics folder on the Desktop
several Terminal attempts to move this file also fail
I haven't been able to place this "invisible" file the the folder. Perhaps my Terminal commands are wrong?
HELP, please.
