Broken screen

I broke the screen of my MacBook and I used an external screen to use my Mac, after the last update I’m stuck in the program installation screen and I can’t connect it to my external screen to finish the installation, here is a picture of what I see.

Cant reinstall macos with a broken screen Hi everybody so i wanted to reinstall mac os on my macbook pro, but since the screen is broken i have to use an external screen, but when i enter recovery mode my external display doesnt pick up the screen. Sometimes when i take it out and put it back in, it either goes grey or pink then it says no signal. Does anyone have any solution to this? I am not taking this to an apple store.

why i cant connect my macbook pro to a screen i bought a LG 20MK400 but somehow i cant connect my macbook pro to it. it just dont show on the macbook that the screen is available. i dont know what i did wrong any suggestion pls?

MacBook 12" early 2015 does not use internal screen after boot Dear everyone, I got a strange situation with my MacBook after a high Sierra update it would not boot beyond the 100% bar. However I was able to access it via vnc and ssh. In the vnc session it identifies the screen as an 23" internal screen. The screen stays on the 100% bootbar. I was able to install Catalina via vnc session, but that did not fix the issue. Any idea how I could flash the firmware again (was part of the high Sierra update) I am not able to install from a bootstick (catlina installer). Best regards Joerg

what year MacBook Pro 13-in and what processor speed?

How is the external display connected? exactly what cables and adapters? what model display is it?

Your screen is lighting up, and has a cursor, but may be in Extended-Desktop mode. You need Mirroring. Try typing:

Command + F1

in no joy, try:

Command + Fn + F1

the year is 2014 macbook in-13 i5 process

the external is connected with HDMI the model display is BENQ

I just noticed it’s connected but doesn’t show the screen I want in the external, Check the image (the mousse)

Thanks for your answer, you’re right I’m in extended desktop mode, I tried the commands but doesn’t work unfortunately :(
