Problem unlocking device

I am trying to switch providers but since I have a replacement iPhone I cannot go to my original provider and have them unlock my phone so they told me to contact apple. I am not sure what I need to do to unlock it does anyone know how?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Apple will not unlock your phone. Your carrier should still unlock it, since your original phone was locked to them. Show them the paperwork where Apple replaced the device. If that does not help, you will need to contact Apple support. This is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here.
