Can someone answer this for me, I purchased an unlocked iPhone from BestBuy but when I tried to use it on another carrier it would not work. I googled the model number that shows up on my phone which is MWAT2LL/A and it shows a Verizon phone - Is this a true unlocked phone or a Verizon phone that can be unlocked.
iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13
It originally shipped locked to Verizon; only they can unlock it.

That's typical of Best Buy. One of the many reasons I refuse to ever do business there.
Check the receipt. If it says the phone is unlocked, sit the manager down with you, call AppleCare and let them tell them it's locked to Verizon. If they still refuse a refund, spend the $50 and file a claim in small claims court.
