My Apple Watch series 1 flashes the Apple logo when on charger. I cannot hard reset it as the batter was dead before putting onto charger.

Looks like you need a new battery. If you are near an Apple store you can get a replacement battery for $79.
It’s cycling on the charger.
Nope. The Apple store wants $199 to service my watch. The s1 itself isn’t even worth that
its stopped flashing it for 7 seconds and a time and now it quick flashes the Apple logo then goes black for about a minute then flashes again. (All while on the charger)
I’m not spending 200 to have them work on a series one watch
I think you need to take the watch to an apple store and they can tell you your options.
Charge the watch and then force reset it.
