will IPad Mini 4 A1550 work on ATT 4g

I purchased a renewed IPad mini 4. It says there is no SIM card, but it also says the carrier is Verizon. Does this mean it is locked?

iPads are not locked to specific carriers in the vast majority of cases. Only if it was sold by the carrier under contract it may be locked. But even then, as Verizon states they do not lock iPads.

The AT&T sim card should work and activate AT&T service without any major issues.

Thanks for the answers. I have been getting conflicting answers from AT&T. One rep. stated because it said Verizon was the carrier it was locked, even tho Verizon claims they do not lock their phones. A different rep. Stated it will work and is sending me the AT&T SIM card. This rep. also said the card will automatically activate on my account and replace the old IPad 2, with no price increases. Once inserted I should see the 4g signal-if it is not there, then they will work with me to fix it. If, for some reason it can not be fixed, It will not be charged to my account, will be removed from the account , with the reason stated so I can return the IPad mini for a refund. Also, I heard back from the seller on Amazon, stating it says Verizon because that was the last SIM card in the IPad mini 4, and he also stated if things don’t work out, a return for full refund will be given
