I have an iPhone XR and have created a personal memoji to send in text messages. Is there any way to save them permanently so that I don't have to re-create the same memoji/animoji every time I want to send a text message? My personal memoji/animoji has disappeared three times already and its starting to get annoying having to re-create it every time.

The Memoji that you create should save. Have you tried restarting yet? If not, try that now: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Also, if you haven't updated to the latest iOS version for iOS 13, be sure to do that now: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you're still having trouble with the Memoji that you created disappearing, try reinstalling the iOS. Before you proceed, please back up your data using the steps below. Reinstalling the iOS only overwrites the iOS on the device, and does not affect personal data, but it’s always recommended to have a backup first: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Once you've verified that your backup is current, follow the steps below to reinstall iOS on your iPhone. Keep in mind that this article was written for a different issue, but these steps will still be helpful.
