I am a guy with an apple device for the very first time.
I have an apple id.
When i enter the apple store i search for firefox.
The first hit is version 20 or somneting. NOT version 71.
When i install the app, i can NOT sign in to firefox sync, ican NOT add addons.
How do i install latest firefox version?
The current version of Firefox, for iPadOS/iOS, is Firefox 20.2. The Firefox version number for iOS does not directly track the version number for other platforms - such as MS Windows.
Not all of the features to which you are accustomed on other OS platforms are available within iOS (or, Android). This is because the underlying System APIs, upon which the App relies, are fundamentally different. Firefox Ad-ons, that are seen on MS platforms, are not present on iPadOS/iOS.
