Since I updated to OSX Catalina, mov files with transparency codec and png codec are not playing anymore.
Since this feature is essential for my work in Final Cut Pro X, I need a solution for this.
Any help is appreciated!

There was amole warning that with Catalina several old codecs would not be supported anymore.
It is not clear if this is your case.
Can you give specific details of these codecs?
You can open old files in a previous version of macOS and use it to convert to ProRes or H264.
Please give exact specs of the media. Where did the files come from exactly? Copied from a drive, created by you? What application? What platform?
