apple podcast app crashing

Yup, I rebooted, nothing. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, nothing. i’d like to think an Apple employee is having the same problem , so they know. Does anyone know if Apple monitors these boards when they get enough posts on one subject?

Same issue I’m having. I have the iPhone 11 pro max on the latest iOS (13.1.3). Whatever podcast it is, whatever mode of listening, every few minutes it stops playing and goes to the home screen. I though it was because I had screen time enabled, so I turned that off but it kept crashing. Restarted the phone, kept crashing. Tried to keep the screen display awake and on the podcast app but it crashed anyway.

My iphone7 is on 12.4.1 and the podcast app is also crashing on that device. I changed the playback speed to 1x and it stopped crashing. Then I changed the playback speed to 1x on my regular phone and it played for a good amount of time without crashing. The speed is back to 1.5x now like I usually have it and it still hasn't crashed in about 20 minutes.

Can't promise its gonna continue to work or that it even works but try changing your playback speed to 1x.

I have had the same problem all day long, but now it’s gone. What did I do? For a couple of times when the app crashed, I pressed hard on the apps icon and restarted the podcast I had been listening to. I don”t know if this did it, but the Apple Podcast-app surely hasn”t crashed for several hours now

I'm having the same issue, but on an iphone x. Tried a hard restart and it's still crashing.

Yep, I'm having the same problem too. I've tried the hard restart, deleting the app and reinstalling... nothing is working.

No advice, has been happening to me all morning, just commenting here so I get Notified when somebody has figured it out. So so so so frustrating.....

Sam issue here all morning. Turning phone on/off, reset, and reinstalling app is not working.

I’m having the same issue on the iPhone XR. App will run for a few minutes, then cut out and jump to the home screen of my phone.

Same thing happened to me. And I have an iPhone 8 Plus. I’m even updating my phone right now, but I doubt it’ll help.

I'm having the same problem on iPhone SE. I updated my iOS, did a hard reset, and deleted and re-downloaded Podcasts and it's still crashing.

Same here. This is one annoying bug. Trying the update, but I've seen that isn't resolving the issue either.

My issue has gone away. One minute she falls down a well; eyes go crossed. The next she gets kicked by a mule; eyes go straight. I don’t know.
