hi all.
a while ago i created a stack which sits in my dock which shows me recent logic pro x files which ive opened or modified in the last 7 days.
i firstly cant remember how i created it and secondly where it is so i can transfer it over to my new mac running catalina.
can anyone please help?

Also is it possible to create a new smart folder but to set it to not include files that have [brackets] around them?

You likely created a Smart Folder & dragged it to the Dock...
