Apple Watch vs Fitbit tracker

I’m thinking something is wrong. I have an apple watch and my friend has a fitbit. As shown yesterday I did 140 min of exercise and 1035 cal. I did a 1 hour bike ride and 1 hour pilates class. My friend did a 20min jog and a walk and his fitbit is showing 81 min of exercise (half of mine) and 2747 cal (more than 2.5 more than mine)... I believe i was way more active than him and i think something is wrong. Any idea?? Or am i reading something on the apple watch incorrectly?

Looking at the fitbit figures 2747 calories burned for a distance of 6 miles,I don't think so,yesterday I did 7.5 miles and burned 700 calories,I should tell your friend his fitbit needs looking at."The general rule of thumb is that the average person burns 100 calories per mile of running" I got this quote from runnersworld.com.

You don't have to be doing a workout for the watch to start counting exercise minutes. Pretty much any time it sees an increase in your heart rate it can see that as exercise. Walking up the stairs, going for a quick walk to the mailbox, jumping from a sitting position and making a dash for the bathroom. Those can (not always) make the watch think you are exercising. The 421 is from today. The 2578 is from the 9th. It starts over at midnight every day.

The apple watch tells you your total calories as well,if you go into the health app on the phone and tap browse at the bottom then tap activity it says "active energy" which is calories burnt while exercising and "resting energy" which is the calories that you burn when you're not exercising, just add the 2 together and you get the total calories burned.

It's showing 25 calories. And that picture is NOT the health app.that 421 figure includes the calories you have burnt in order to stay alive. If you're in a coma you still burn calories.
