FCPX Menu window unreadable.

I have a problem with FCPX, it is weird, and I am going to do my best to explain it. The menu windows are unreadable. When I attempt to open any menu window on the top or in the timeline, it is the outline of the menu box and sometimes a pink shadow is offset with some of the names of the menu items.

I have been able to work through it because the functions are still in the same place of the open window (for instance the bottom of the file window is Quit FCPX). I have followed all of the advice on the Apple website and reinstalled it several times but the problem persists.

Go to System Preferences/Accessibility/Display and uncheck increased contrast and reduce transparency.
