has anybody been able to recover data from a disabled iPad?

too many attempts at forgotten passcode,now disabled. can the data be recovered? has never been backed up.

Not any longer.

If you have never backed up that iPad all the time you have had that iPad, then it is too late, now.

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
