removing Kaspersky from Mac

When I originally bought my Mac desktop it had Kaspersky in it I have since used webroot anti virus but it expired and is to expensive right now so I deleted the app and tried to download AVG but it comes up with a message that Kaspersky is still in my computer and it will not let me download because of a incompatibility. There is no Kaspersky app left but I went to finder and found some files from Kaspersky and deleted them but it still says that it is on my computer. Does anyone know how to get rid of it so I can put another virus program in my computer? Thanks, Carol King

Please contact the developers of all the antivirus apps you have installed as they serve NO purpose. Mac OS does not require nor does it benefit from using any type of antivirus, cleaning or any other third party "maintenance" apps. If simply left alone and kept up to date Mac OS will remain secure and trouble free. Almost all third party AV apps have the exact opposite affect that users want, they make Mac OS slow and unstable.

Use the developers uninstall instructions to uninstall the AV apps.
