IPAD11Pro after 13.2.3 update Dow not recognize SD card reader

I have an iPAD12.9Pro from2018 with 13.2.3. After this update the iPAD no longer recognizes the SD card reader and card that it perfectly well recognized earlier and imported new pics from the same Nikon camera. Now when I launch Photos and hit Import it does not show new pics but slowly begins to show all pics on the card - not the new ones.

what to do?
