Why the Time Machine does not backup the User folder? It only shows “Shared” with Adobe and other utilities, but not the desktop files. The only item excluded is the Backup. How do I backup the desktop files? I don’t see any other options.

"Enter Time Machine" from the Time Machine icon. Are you not able to traverse your Home directory, or anything within it?
What happens?
I’m able to travel everywhere with the Time Machine. I was just wondering why the user folder doesn’t show the actual files when I open the backup drive > my computer name > all the ** folders > Mojave and related files > but the User only shows “Shared”.
I thought maybe it was a setting but I guess this how the OS works. I realize that this is a silly question. Thank you for taking the time.
