how end a route on maps

I think they're asking the same thing I want to ask. I have Google Maps up in Carplay. I'm on a route that is navigating me. But I want to end the route, or stop navigation before I reach my destination. I can't see a button anywhere on the screen to do that.

Anyone have any thoughts?
