Right airpods drains faster than Left airpod

I left both airpods out of the case without charging. Both started with a 100% last evening and now the Right is at 22% and the left is at 36%. Microphone is set to automatic. SO why is the battery drain not even?

Hi Bavani Owen,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that your right AirPod isn't holding a charge as long as your left AirPod. I can see why you'd reach out about this; I'd like to help. I appreciate you including that you've already checked the microphone settings for the AirPods, it's most helpful to know. While it may not be possible to determine the cause of the additional battery consumption, I'd suggest trying these steps, then test your AirPods again:

If you continue to see the right AirPod use more battery than the left, reach out to Apple for additional assistance: Get Support

Alternatively, you can have your AirPods examined at a nearby Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: Find Locations

Best Regards.
