My phone died and all my messages got deleted

My phone died when I was working and when I charged it and turned it back on all my chats from iMessage are gone! Can I get them back somehow?

How to recover deleted messages from imessage? The latest iphone update deleted my iphone8 imessages. The settings on my phone have always been set to keep messages forever and it still is. I do not use the cloud. I've tried the airplane mode suggestion. Turning the imessage on and off again. I've even done a hard reboot. Nothing has restored my messages. My messages are synched to my ipad and are still there as I haven't downloaded the latest ios. Is there a way I can get my imessages back? This is absolutely infuriating and frustrating.

IMessage I wanted to know how can I fix my phone I had like 300 and something messages and they all disappeared when I didn’t do anything I just want all my messages back and I can’t seem to find a way to do that so is it a way someone can help me get all my stuff back?
