How to have YouTube play in background or lock screen on iPhone

Is there a way youtube can be played in the background while the device is locked? If so, please can someone advise how I can make this work on my iphone 6s. Thanks

Actually, yes.

You will have to subscribe to YouTube Premium.

Google wants you to pay for that privilege.
