Keeps breaking internet after downloading the update, will not continue the update. I keep getting a message to check my internet connection but my internet is connected.
Try installing in Safe Mode:

Used the stand alone file from apple.com and worked for this new iMac, now I yet to try this procedure on my Mac book pro. It is showing the same error message and refuse to update. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
No, the files that couldn't be Migrated would only be some third party apps that weren't compatible. I don't know why you can't update either. If it's new from Apple you do have 14 days to return it for a full refund and purchase another.

I have another question, when I upgraded to macOS 10.15.1 I remember seeing a message that says some of the files cannot be migrated. Does it have anything to do with not being able to update now? This is a brand new iMac (only one week old) and I am not able to update! I spent a couple of hours over the phone with Apple Support and they cannot solve this. Maybe you can help.
