USB does not show in Finder

Previously, when I wanted to put music on a USB stick, I put the stick in a port on my laptop and could see the stick in the Finder application. I then simply dragged and dropped the music files from iTunes to the stick, and then "ejected" the stick as seen in Finder.

I have checked that hat the USB stick has a "size" of 2.0, the same as showing in my laptop.

I can't see where to eject the stick when I want to remove it from my laptop and subsequently get a warning message about not removing it correctly.

I will try this tomorrow but it does appear to solve the problem. I will let you know. Many thanks.
