I have the Apple Watch 5. Synched with my iPhone X via Bluetooth, I see the Spotify app, but it only plays on my phone. I bought the watch so I didn’t had to carry my phone while walking, but after days of talking to Verizon tech support, I’m ready to throw this **** thing out my car window
Spotify has only provided a remote control for the iPhone Spotify app. You will have to talk to Spotify about doing more when their app.
You can download your own music to the Apple Watch and play that, as well as podcasts and audiobooks.
Apple Music can stream to an Apple Watch.
Pandora paid subscriptions can download off-line playlists to the Apple Watch.
