I have installed windows 10 on my macbook pro and paralles windows started an update but will not complete the update ,just says installing update then black screen sits there forever,
can I reinstall windows 10 or repair existing installation ?

It is a Bootcamp/Windows installation imported as a Parallels VM. I suggest you boot into Windows using System Preferences -> Startup Disk, upgrade Windows and then switch to macOS and run Parallels and test. A Bootcamp installation should not be upgraded in Parallels and vice-a-versa.

Is the update a Parallels update or Windows Update? Does Windows boot properly if you boot natively?
It’s a Windows update, not sure what you mean ‘ boot natively” ?
Parallels opens windows ok, and windows said update required, started update but will not complete update process .
now windows will not start at all .

Windows was installed via boot app and parallels installed afterwards
I have used the parallels program Without any problems, until I tried to do the Windows 10 upgrade as requested as requested
