Will High Sierra ever get the new Music app (for those who can't upgrade)

I've been dying to shed the feature bloat of iTunes' syncing nightmare, and try the streaming service integrated with iTunes library - so I'm major bummed I can't upgrade to Catalina. Any signs of hope? I fear not but would love to be surprised.

If the answer is no, does Apple Music streaming integrate with iTunes in terms of playlists - without using the iCloud match thing - that's a deal breaker. I've been surfing for answers but calling the service the painfully generic "Apple Music" makes specific results (aside from all the great news about Catalina!!!) hard to find. Ugh. Help?

Thanks, but my library is so large and packed with metadata, playlists, etc., I'm pretty much married to Mac 'til death.

I started Music streaming service yesterday inside itunes - High Sierra and it's working pretty great. But with my library the way it is, I wouldn't try to sync it all even if I weren't over the song limit, so i created an alternate library on another drive and that seems to be syncing fine without bothering the other one. Any of my own tracks I want integrated, I will have to copy over, likewise playlists export / import, but it's worth it to organize the streaming library (playlists, etc.) exactly the same way as normal iTunes tracks. A million times better than making playlists in the others I've tried, Amazon, Pandora & Spotify. (Tidal's too rich for my blood and I don't need super hi res streaming.)
