Beware guys...I received my black bumper about a week ago now. Took off the bumper tonight to clean my phone down and there are scratch marks on the steel band from the bumper (this is caused from the pieces of hard plastic on the underside of the bumper. Not a happy camper here...
you bet it does, we took our bumpers back in today and showed them the scratches on both phones and they offer to replace the phones. See my previous post regarding the bumpers, about a week old.
You are wrong my friend, the bumpers have tiny spots inside(not all I expect) but those that have do scratch the brushed stainless steel surrounding. So much for 5 x times harder than standard stainless steel. LOL
Just took my Bumper off for the first time since the day I purchased my handset and it also has small scuffs on the so called 'Stainless Steel' edge. I've counted 5-6 small marks. I really don't want to have to return my handset. Does anyone know of anything I can buff my handset with?
Yeah, the same thing has happened to me. Took off the bumper to clean about a week later after putting it on and found that there were friction scratches caused by the imperfection in the hard plastic band rubbing against the stainless steel. It's funny that i bought something to protect the cool stainless steel band and it turn out to scratch it instead ??! 'THIS IS PANTS'
ay foreal... i was tripping All day....ive never ever dropped my phone since i purchased it n yesterday morning i was looking at the phone with the bumper off n there were like nicks n little dent marks.....i was dumbfounded?...could not recall how that ever happened.. i even asked my son if he had accidently dropped it..n he swears no on it?
I'm using my old 3gs Speck cover on my iPhone 4. No scratches on the SS ring, and this cover is not made for the iPhone 4, but does protect it in while I'm waiting for my bumper.
