messages running very slow and I have the bouncing ball on Mojave

Seems others have the same issue. I was going to un-install everything and reload my things. It doesn't look like any others have done that. Does that seem to be a fix? Are they working on an update to this problem

If you’re planning on erasing your drive and reinstalling macOS, that could help this but there could be some other steps to take before doing that. 


First, see if the issue continues in safe mode or a new user account. This can isolate the cause of this for you:

Check for updates to macOS to further isolate this:


How to update the software on your Mac


Also, make sure you have no internet issues with your Mac and check that the date, time, and time zone are set correctly:


If the date or time is wrong on your Mac
