Catalina upgrade spinning beach ball.

After upgrading to Catalina, mac mini late 2012 16gb ram, I have nothing but troubles. Macos is slow,

getting spinning beachball all the time, even when mac restarts and loads spinning beachball shows up.

I'm homeless person who has invested all of his money in this, working on a startup now which I plan to launch beginning of the next year. I have support from Google, Aws and IBM but so far nothing but trouble from apple. Highly disappointed in Apple being the one standing in my way, will never forget this. Trusted apple but got nothing but trouble and waste of time. The product is useless, demotivating and not productive. I will get to my goal and will voice my opining about this company in the future. I was a huge fan like everyone else in startup world but IMHO since Tim took over, I see nothing but hate and trouble for apple. Same thing with my iphone x after upgrading to ios13 so many issues. Support is useless. Wont ever forget this, you can be so long at the top but if you don't treat your customers right eventually the end may come. I'm now saving money for a windows machine. :(

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

Can this be Deemed a Faulty Device?:

Contact Apple Support, and see if this can be deemed a faulty device. You have a one-year(365-Day) out-of-the-box warranty. 2020 is coming up, and you 14 days to return it. So, by all means, I’d make use of taking it in to an Apple Store to have it looked at (if it’s an option in your area) — ASAP, especially if you have no AppleCare Plus Protection on it.

Setup a Genius Bar Appointment:

You would take this to your local Apple Store for a Genius Bar Appointment. There, your Mac would be looked at, then diagnosed, and then ultimately be determined if this can be deemed a faulty device or not.

Contacting Apple

Contact Us - Choose Locations

USA: 1(800)MY-APPLE

Proceed from here as necessary with then Genius Bar Appointment.

The issue is not resolved, the latest update recommended by apple "for performance improvements" has rendered my productivity to 0! I find this unacceptable! This is the tactic to force you to buy latest hardware! As I said I'm homeless and I'm working on a startup, payed for a developer subscription now I can't use xcode since every click in xcode results in a spinning wheal issue. Everything freezes! Before on high sierra everything worked smoothly. Mac mini Late 2012 SSD, 16gb ram. It should not be a problem. I demand a fix for this. I will never forget this! Everyone is trying to help as I said Google, Microsoft, IBM, Amazon; what is apple doing? Working against me!? What has apple ever done for anyone but stood in peoples way. Preaching for inclusion, privacy etc but no evil is like this company. Inclusion with overpriced products forced on users if they wanna use their IOS system. NOT COOL. Also not cool that you delete or moderate this message because of criticising apple. You guys are such evil no words, you've done nothing good for no one ever! I demand fix for this in a 48 hours!

Nothing wrong with the device, this happened after upgrading to latest Catalina.

I thought this is a support forum run by apple but after researching I see this is just a community support forum.

This is so frustrating. I was working on an app that should be released in January. Can't believe how bad apple has become.

The worst issues are with apple based ui/programs like xcode, when using visual studio code or intellij everything works fine, opening even activity monitor and clicking tabs from cpu to memory triggers a spinning wheal of dead or for example anything in preferences. It's Catalina software issue nothing else. What a nightmare. I for sure wont buying any apple products anymore. I was saving for new mac but no way. Not trusting it, too expensive and not reliable. I don't know what to do but to drop ios entirely. Its highly demotivating even thinking about opening xcode. :(

It's not solved, the only options I had to get to my thread were those two buttons.

First time user, didn't know that those buttons will invoke immediate action.

Had some issues with first Catalina install, apple recommended the update which I did to find that

the update has more issues. Everything is slow, and ofte video freezes, even moving macos windows around the screen

are not smooth, jiggly, even on activity monitor when switching from cpu to memory spinning ball shows up.

I have a ssd drive with 16gb memory, didn't have those issues with High Sierra, since I'm developing an ios app had to upgrade to Catalina. :( It's a waste of time honestly, worst experience ever, reason I didn't go with iphone upgrade but instead chose samsung s10 this time.
