MacBook Pro 2019 sometimes wakes up with black screen. Keyboard and touchbar are live. If I close and reopen lid the screen wakes up. MB is 6 days old. The black screen has occurred at least 3 times so far. Usually after long period with lid closed.

Thanks for idea. I reset SMC. Then started tracking the time and AC power status on each time I closed the lid. Next 2 times closed lid and did not connect power. MB wakes up on lid open. Then overnight plugged in AC pwr. This morning MB wakes but the screen is black. Touch bar is pointing to start button like normal. I close and reopen lid because that had corrected screen status in past. This morning I closed and opened lid 3 times to a black screen. After 3rd time I touched the start button and MB logged in and then screen became normal. I checked power settings in system report and "Wake on Clamshell Open" is "Yes" on both AC and battery.
Sounds like a trip to Apple store which is 2.5 hours away. Unfortunately the problem is intermittent. I'll continue to track but need to save log off the MB.
